Encrypted Tracking for AcyMailing

Open tracking without readable IDs.

Free

AcyMailing measures opens and clicks with an invisible image and with links that carry, in plain text, the email ID and the subscriber ID: sequential numbers that anyone who sees the URL can read, and that are easy to forge to fake opens and clicks.

The Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines on tracking pixels (decision of 17 April 2026, compliance by 29 October 2026) ask instead for an unintelligible, non-sequential identifier. This plugin does it without modifying AcyMailing: at sending time it replaces the numbers with an encrypted code, different for every email, and decodes it when the open or click comes in.

How it works

Nothing to configure: install it and it works on its own.

1

Install

Download the zip for your site. In Joomla upload it from System → Install Extensions, in WordPress from Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, and activate it.

2

Send as usual

Campaigns, automations and follow-ups go out with encrypted pixel and links, with no change to your templates.

3

Read your stats

Opens and clicks keep showing up in AcyMailing reports. Emails sent before installation are still measured.
